After what’s being called yet another “competitive” pitch, 10-year-old Austin-based shop Exopolis has been awarded digital AOR duties for the Sunny D brand (who can forget those old-school commercials?). Last we heard from the digital agency, which was acquired by Austin Ventures last year, it was named AOR for Formula 1 U.S.
With Sunny D, Exopolis will handle what’s expected from a digital agency of record (we’ve been told that this is the brand’s first DAOR) including creative and strategic work that will include web, mobile and social components. Regarding the brand’s decision, SunnyD brand manager Dave Silver says, “After evaluating multiple agencies, we chose Exopolis for their fresh approach in taking our digital efforts to the next level. We’re excited about infusing their smart thinking and new energy into this brand.”
