Executive Strategy Director Kasi Bruno Leaving 180LA

By Erik Oster

180LA executive strategy director Kasi Bruno will be leaving the agency, a spokesperson confirmed today.

It’s unclear at this time whether Bruno is leaving for a specific position or if 180LA plans to hire a replacement.

Bruno joined the Omnicom network back in December of 2015 following more than five years with Y&R Toronto—a stint during which she was promoted to SVP and strategic planning director. During her time with Y&R, Bruno led the agency’s strategic planning team, served as strategic leader on new business efforts, co-created business problem hackathon Ignite Overnight and authored North America’s largest study of dads, cleverly titled “Who’s Your Daddy.”

The agency has been through some top-level staffing changes since ASICS moved its account last December, including the subsequent departures of creative directors David Povill and Dave Cuccinello and chief strategy officer/managing partner Mike Harris. ECDs Dan Treichel and Dave Canning, who led the sneaker account in Amsterdam, later left to become co-creative leads at Joan in New York.

Last month, 180LA announced it would be leaving its longtime home of downtown Santa Monica for a corporate campus in Playa Vista’s Silicon Beach.
