Ex-Riney CEO VandenBosch Resurfaces (Updated)

By Kiran Aditham

It’s been quite some time since we’ve heard from Kristi VandenBosch, who let us know way back in January that she was leaving Publicis & Hal Riney/Modem after spending nearly three years as CEO at the agency. Well, fast-forward 10 months and we’ve come to learn from tipsters that VandenBosch has headed from the Bay Area to Los Angeles to take on a role at interactive agency Genex/Meredith Xcelerated Marketing. Coincidentally, we received an email this week telling us that said company (a little background for you here) just lost its CMO Keith Sedlak to D.C.-based TMG Custom Media.

Anyhow, back to VanDenBosch. The exec, who joined Genex/Meredith this week (title yet-to-be-determined) will help lead digital, CRM, social, mobile and analytics practices at the firm. As for her past life, prior to Riney, where she worked alongside the likes of Kevin Roddy and Roger Camp, VandenBosch spent seven years as president of \Tequila and has also held senior-level gigs at the likes of Draftfcb.

Update: Our lovely spies inform us that VandenBosch has joined up as chief digital officer of the Genex/MXM L.A. team, which also includes the likes of CSO Steve Kerho (remember him?), chief innovation officer Doug Rozen and chief client officer Georgine Anton.
