The recent turnover within the creative department of WPP activation agency Geometry Global. CCO and Ogilvy vet Bruce Henderson departed over the summer after accepting the same role at Jack Morton, and this week EVP/ECD Tom Wilson will be leaving as well.

Wilson will be replaced by Chicago-based ECD Heidi Schoeneck, a veteran of the Leo Burnett Arc, EURO RSGC/Havas and FCB organizations.

Internal memo from agency CEO Carl Hartman, the WPP global client/shopper marketing leader who got the top North American spot in early 2014:

Heidi Schoeneck will be moving to New York to continue to lead creative for TUS and also to assume the role of ECD, New York and partner with Soche Picard in leading the NY office. Heidi is an accomplished creative leader, and she is a broad thinker. She will unite and inspire the diverse offerings we house in NY. Heidi replaces Tom Wilson, who will be leaving us mid-February and will be helping Heidi through the transition. I’m extremely grateful for all that Tom has done for us through the merger and beyond. He will always be a part of our family, and we wish him the best of luck going forward.

Wilson has an extended agency resume: he spent the last eight years in various creative leadership roles at Geometry and its predecessor G2 after working as a freelance copywriter/consultant for more than 15 years. His career began with account executive roles at Ogilvy and Saatchi & Saatchi in the ’80s.

Last month Geometry named Jim Carlton–himself a longtime Leo Burnett Arc creative lead–as its new CCO and he spoke to Adweek about bringing “below the line” into the light.
