General Mills Sends Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs to Erich & Kallman

By Erik Oster

General Mills has begun working with San Francisco-based agency Erich & Kallman on its Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs brands.

The appointment does not follow a formal review. A spokesperson for General Mills characterized the relationship as on a project basis, noting that General Mills works with a number of agencies for its brands.

Eric Kallman referred to the client for comment.

General Mills has previously worked with New York-based Joan Creative on Lucky Charms and Saatchi & Saatchi New York on Reese’s Puffs.

Erich & Kallman’s first work for both brands already appears on its website.

A “Sneeze” spot for Lucky Charms trades in predictably surrealist humor, with the brand’s longtime mascot joined by a sneezing unicorn.

An ad for Reese’s Puffs highlights the brand’s NBA 2K19 promotion, while another spot sees a gamer get “Dunked On” with a box of the confectionary cereal.
