Droga5, Uber and Grandmas Deliver Sausage for Johnsonville

Droga5 teamed up with Uber this past Sunday for its “The Sausage Nonnas” stunt for Johnsonville, in which people could order sausage-based meals cooked by Italian grandmothers, or Nonnas, by ordering through the Uber app.

The nonnas delivered homemade meals from small houses being pulled by pickup trucks this past Sunday, making sausage rigatoni, lasagna and Italian sausage and meatballs. It’s kind of a cute stunt, although we’re not sure how it promotes Johnsonville in particular ¬†and, if anything, is better publicity for partner Uber. Still, seeing the Italian grandmothers attempting to cook in a cramped, moving kitchen, is certainly entertaining. In addition to “The Sausage Nonnas” there are also introductory vides for each of the nonnas, which we’ve featured below.
