Droga5 Performs ‘The Longest Search’ for Motorola

By Erik Oster

Droga5 New York kicked off a new campaign promoting the Motorola Moto G with a 45-second spot.

The 45-second spot, entitled “The Longest Search” opens on a young man riding a camel through barren desert. Out of water, the man continually checks his Moto G in hopes of a source of survival. Finally, after changing the search parameters to 100 miles, it becomes clear that he’s been updating a dating app, and has finally found a match. Pumped up, he continues along his journey, and switches on the song “Ignition” by R. Kelly (for some strange reason). The spot ends by touting the Moto G’s all day battery, and the line, “Find all that you need.” Just the first in what promises to be a series of ads exploring similar themes, we can expect to see plenty more strange scenarios in which the phone’s all day battery come in handy.
