Droga5 Nabs GCD from BBDO

By Erik Oster

Droga5 appointed Juliana Cobb as group creative director to work on the agency’s Prudential account under executive creative director Kevin Brady

Cobb’s arrival is something of a tit for tat, as it follows BBDO poaching a pair of creatives from Droga5 this summer. Cobb has spent the past five years as a creative director with BBDO New York, leading creative on the Starbucks, GE, AT&T and American Family Insurance accounts. Prior to that she spent six months as a freelance creative director/copywriter for Team One. Before that she served a two-year stint as an associate creative director/copywriter at R/GA. She has also freelanced as a copywriter for BBDO in the past, as well as with Attik and spent over five years as an associate creative director/copywriter with McCann.

“I have always been struck by the incredible integrity that Droga5 possesses,” Cobb told The Drum. “I’ve admired the agency’s work for its ability to stand out from the norm, and I knew that when clients walk through that door, they’re expecting to see work they’re not expecting. That’s exciting. That’s something I’m honored to be a part of.”
