Droga5 Head of Business Development Maximilian Kislevitz Leaving After 6 Months

By Patrick Coffee

Maximilian Kislevitz, who joined Droga5 in December as head of business development in its New York headquarters. has decided to leave the agency at the end of the month.

An agency spokesperson confirmed the news but declined to elaborate or provide a statement. Kislevitz also told AgencySpy that he had chosen to depart but did not go into detail.

The agency reportedly does not plan to replace him at this time. Chris Wollen, who formerly held the head of business development title, is now the agency’s CMO.

Kislevitz came to Droga5 from Battery, the independent agency in L.A. that hired him as brand director in early 2017. He’d previously held the same role at 72andSunny after heading up biz dev for Barbarian Group, where he led the Bacardi digital pitch.

When he was hired, Droga5 wrote that Kislevitz would be “tasked with driving growth across the agency with new and existing clients.” The past year has been something of a mixed bag for the still-independent agency, which won some new accounts like IHOP and ESPN while losing others such as Pizza Hut and Tencent.

Like many other agencies, Droga5 has had to part with a number of employees in multiple rounds of layoffs over recent months.

Other sources, however, tell us that the shop has won several new accounts that have yet to be announced. More news to come.
