I read in Brandweek that Campbell’s has finally realized the appropriate use for vegetables. They’re making a V8 soup line. Thank goodness they finally realized that no one wants to drink their veggies (unless they’re mixed with vodka).
It’s said to be a part of the Campbell’s Select Gold soup line that Campbell’s launched in 2005. Advertising for the new soup will start with tv commercials airing in September.
This is the second time V8 has been given a makeover. Campbell’s introduced the V8 Splash fruit juice over 10 years ago and have had some success with that brand. The soups could prove to be just as successful.
