Draftfcb Makes Multicultural Moves

By Kiran Aditham

Draftfcb Chicago is shifting some staff and bringing on new hires within its multicultural practice as Ken Muench, who has served as agency’s director of multicultural strategic planning since December 2009, is heading to the West Coast in mid-August to assume the role of SVP, director of strategic planning at Draftfcb Orange County. Once there, he’ll lead planning efforts across the office’s client roster which includes, of course, Taco Bell.

Before he splits for the OC, though, Muench (pictured) will work closely with Felipe Cabrera, who will join Draft’s Chicago office on July 18 as multicultural planning director. Cabrera has worked for the likes of Grupo Gallegos (Muench’s former shop) as well as the Puerto Rico offices of JWT and Leo Burnett during his career and has spent time on the client side at EA Sports Active and P&G.

But Cabrera isn’t though the only multicultural planning director joining the ranks at Draftfcb Chicago as he’ll be joined by Euro RSCG NY alum Luis Salles, who will assume the aforementioned title and work on the agency’s MillerCoors brands.
