Draftfcb Chicago: Still a ‘Great Place to Work’

By Kiran Aditham

Never mind the layoffs, loss of managing director Karen Sauder or the potential loss of SC Johnson. Draftfcb Chicago is still a “great place to work,” dammit! Well, that’s at least the rhetoric we’re receiving from the agency today, which at least tells us that Draft Chi-Town is possibly maybe looking out for current staffers. At a Draftfcb Chicago Town Hall meeting/holiday party last night, the management team announced they were recognizing the contributions of each of the roughly 1,000 employees in the room with a $300 “Above and Beyond” award.  According to the agency, that award is typically part of a spot bonus given to people throughout the year to reward them for extra hard work. For their good deeds, each employee received $300 and a copy of guest speaker Kevin Carroll’s book, The Red Rubber Ball at Work. As an added bonus, 50 employees were randomly chosen in a raffle to receive an additional $650 each.
