Dr. Seuss’s Lorax Hijacked for Coal Co. Branding

By Matt Van Hoven

The Lorax is Dr. Seuss’s book about environmentalism. The firm that protects Suess’s Copyrights is suing LoraxAG, which is a new coal company that intentionally used Lorax in their name to co-opt the book’s good-feelings.

“The Lorax is the protector of the truffula trees,” a LoraxAG rep. told MassHighTech. “We think this is the greenest use of coal.”

Actually, the greenest use of coal is not using coal, but I digress. That’s what honesty gets ya, kids.
