Los Angeles-based agency Stun Creative launched a new 30-second spot for SGN’s puzzle game Cookie Jam (not to be confused with the indescribable deliciousness that is cookie butter) starring Dr. Ken Jeong (of Hangover fame).
Jeong appears in the spot dressed as a giant cookie, crashing through the wall of a hair salon and telling three women, “Hey ladies, your perm just texted me you were bored. Cookie Jam it.” It’s simple, goofy and direct, and the set in precisely the kind of situation where someone might turn to the free game to pass time and, problems aside, it should serve to let those who haven’t already heard of the popular title know that it’s out there.
“SGN asked us for breakthrough creative,” said Stun Creative founding partner and creative director Brad Roth.
“So we said, why not have Ken Jeong break through a wall?” added fellow founding partner and creative director Mark Feldstein.
We’ve also included some exclusive behind-the-scenes footage with Jeong below, in which the actor expresses his love for playing edibles, which he says is “the most you can test yourself as an actor.”
