Don’t Let This Happen to You

By Matt Van Hoven

A friend sent me this image, which was hosted on YesButNoButYes. It got me thinking about how often good brands release a product that appears to be something that it isn’t. A lot of these products end up in late night infomercials cuz, well, they wouldn’t sell with a traditional 30 second spot.

More after the jump.

As for Mill Farm’s Lighthouse Gummis, at first glance they appear to be, well, penises.

How did this product get past product testing, FDA approval, possibly an ad agency, and whoever else saw it before it hit store shelves with no one realizing what it looks like?

I’d bet at least one bachelorette party goer brought a bag of these treats along with penis pasta, penis cake mold and countless other phallic foods not realizing that they were indeed lighthouse gummis.

Well done Mill Farm, well done.
