As you’ve likely heard, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are relocating to Canada after opting out of their royal duties. One Ontario whiskey brand decided to give them a warm welcome and invite them to grab a drink sometime at another Windsor.
Toronto agency No Fixed Address extended its “Drinks Soon” campaign for whisky brand J.P. Wiser with an outdoor effort in Windsor, Ontario. The ad is addressed to Meghan and Harry and asks if they’re looking for another Windsor, following their departure from the royal residences in Windsor Castle.
“When the news broke that Meghan and Harry were looking to settle in Canada, we couldn’t think of anywhere better than our very own Windsor,” J.P. Wiser’s senior brand manager Vanessa Clarke said in a statement. “We’re proud of our long standing heritage in this city and wanted to extend a personalized welcome in a way that only J.P. Wiser’s can.”
The ad is an extension No Fixed Address’s “Drinks Soon” campaign for J.P. Wiser, which is built around the relatable concept of telling friends you should meet up for “drinks soon” but not doing it. “Drinks Soon” attempts to remind audiences of the importance of regularly putting in the work to maintain friendships, or, in other words, to actually get drinks soon instead of just talking about it.
