Digitas Realigns North American Leadership

By Kiran Aditham

After hearing from our sources that last week’s layoffs at Digitas were due to “realigning with new business wins,” it appears that the Publicis-owned agency isn’t quite done “realigning” yet.

Digitas announced today that it’s expanding the leadership roles of its Chicago president/global client lead Tony Weisman and New York/Stamford, CT office president Joanne Zaiac. Weisman will now also serve as president of Boston and Detroit while Zaiac expands her remit to include Atlanta. If you may remember, last week’s cuts affected Digitas’ Boston, Detroit and Atlanta offices. Coincidence? We’ll let you be the judge.

In addition to Weisman and Zaiac, who will report to Digitas N.A. president Colin Kinsella, the agency promoted EVP Barbara Goose to executive director of Boston and Detroit. In addition, Digitas Atlanta VP Lange Taylor was promoted to MD of said office while Stamford SVP/MD Kenneth Parks expands his remit to include Atlanta.
