Digitas Health Cuts Staff Across U.S. Offices

By Kiran Aditham

It’s just that kind of day, we suppose. Sources confirm that Digitas Health has cut just “under 40” staffers in its New York and Philadelphia offices, as well as one in Boston (we hear total U.S. staff count is approximately 620). The reason this time? “Realignment in terms of skills sets.” We’ve been told that the agency has picked up several accounts over the last year, none of which they can disclose unfortunately. Apparently, the pharmaceutical industry is a bit more protective than others.

According to our sources, Digitas Health is “diversifying” and is focusing on other clients within the healthcare field and not solely on pharma anymore. The rap we’ve been given is that client loss did not play a factor in the cuts, which were made across all departments.
