Digitas Adds New GCD in Atlanta

By Kiran Aditham

Sorry, due to our senility and/or post-holiday malaise, we forgot to mention what Digitas sent to us earlier this month, that Dee Mustafa-Bowne has joined the agency’s Atlanta office as VP/group creative director. What does that entail exactly? Well, the new creative exec, who joins Digitas ATL after spending nearly four years as creative director at Engauge, will spearhead work for clients including Equifax and Delta, as well as the creative for new business opportunities.

We’ve also been told by sources familiar with the matter that Mustafa-Bowne started around the new year, and as a result of joining Digitas Atlanta as VP/GCD, she leaves quite a void at Engauge as there’s apparently “no one in charge of creative” at the latter’s office in the 404.You might remember that the latter agency cut EVP/ECD Carl Warner last summer.

While we look into that situation, let’s turn our focus back to Mustafa-Bowne, who during her 20-year career has not only helped launched WebMD but has worked with the likes of Dunkin’ Donuts, Comcast, Home Depot, Nickelodeon, PGA and ESPN. Her current role at Digitas, meanwhile, calls for the new ATL VP/GCD to report to SVP/ECD, Marc Garbarini.
