Digital Daycare: UC Boulder Births Crispy School for Webkin

Move over New School, Miami Ad School, Brainco, Portfolio School, Pasrons and all you other creative learning centers. Boulder Digital Works, which is part of an actual college (University of Colorado at Boulder) is has the potential to be a heavy hitter, not to mention a grow-house for Crispin’s hydroponic creatives. It’s called Boulder Digital Works.

Their description: “BDW is a project-based and accredited learning initiative focused on developing today and tomorrow’s digital leaders and entrepreneurs. Led by acclaimed practitioners and researchers from business, creative, and technology disciplines, our program is designed for people who want to change the world through digital creativity, innovation, and leadership, and are actively interested in a career in the digital industry.”

Our (guess) description: yet another institution that will guarantee something it can’t/shouldn’t but people will spend gobs of money to attend because they’ll think their chances of getting into Crispin (and if not there, anywhere!) are wicked high and then maybe they will get a gig after their hipster graduation but they’ll soon become jaded, yes jaded, by the place and the business because something new will have come along or their talent won’t be appreciated or they won’t be paid enough or Bogusky will retire and the “creative juice” will be funneled into his new weight lifting book that I just invented. That or it’ll totally fuckin rock.
