D&G Adds New Creatives to Kia Team

Looks like El Segundo, CA-based David & Goliath is continuing to load up staff on the Kia business as the agency’s now brought on Gary Du Toit and Nels Dielman as creative director and digital creative director, respectively.

D&G has imported Du Toit (left) from London, where he worked at Ogilvy’s office there as global CD on the Dove Skincare account. Prior to that, he served as a senior writer at Taxi Toronto and spent several years as a senior creative at Network BBDO and TBWA Hunt Lascaris. The new D&G CD offers an interesting explanation as to what lured him to his new employer, saying, “I’ve always wanted to work for a company named after people from the Old Testament. Until someone starts ‘Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego,’ David&Goliath is where I want to be.” Sounds, um, reasonable.

As for Dielman, the digital CD didn’t have to travel very far for his new gig as he arrives from L.A.-based agency Speedshape, where he was an executive creative director. Before that, Dielman served as art director at Team One, working on, what else, the Lexus business.
