Deutsch NY Adds Planning Directors to MSFT Biz

Two more Deutsch hires? Yes folks, two more Deutsch hires. Continuing what seems to be a weekly theme, the agency is adding more staff, this time to the Microsoft business that’s run out of its New York office. Deutsch has announced that Jason Clement and Robert Swartz are the latest to join the MSFT team and have assumed the titles of SVP, group planning director, digital and innovations and SVP, group planning director, respectively.

Clement (pictured), a self-proclaimed “technologist, human, occasional bad-ass,” arrives from W+K New York, which he joined over three years ago and served as director of emerging platforms. During his time at W+K, Clement oversaw the integrated technology teams at the network’s NY, London and Amsterdam offices and worked for clients including Nike, ESPN, Old Spice, Target, EA Sports and Delta. Prior to that, he served as partner, director at Neo@Ogilvy London, New York and Paris.

Swartz, meanwhile, has worked on the consulting side for the last few years but counts a 10-year stint at Ogilvy & Mather on his resume. During his decade at O&M, Swartz first served as managing director of the Beijing office before heading to New York to take on the role of worldwide group account director on IBM.
