Deutsch L.A. Welcomes New Head of Design

Deutsch welcomed Adhemas Batista (pictured: second row, third from left) to its Los Angeles office as executive vice president, head of design.

Batista will be tasked leading design for all Los Angeles clients, managing a team of over 20 designers while reporting to chief creative officer, North America Pete Favat.

“Adhemas is no stranger to Deutsch. We have worked together before and his talent as an artist is next level,” Favat said in a statement. “He has led design on global campaigns that have moved the needle for our industry. Getting him on board is a huge win for us and we are excited to have his craft on our business.”

Batista joins Deutsch following a long stint as a freelance creative/design director, animation director and illustrator. He arrives at the agency with over 20 years of advertising design experience with agencies including Ogilvy & Mather, Anomaly,  TBWA\Chiat\Day. AlmapBBDO and Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Over the course of his career he has worked with clients including Coca-Cola, Adidas, Toyota, Gatorade and Doritos. In 2016, he managed design direction for 180LA’sGrand Prix Lion for Good-wiinning “Malak and the Boat.”
