Dentsu has made another strategic executive move, hiring former DDB Worldwide global chief strategy officer Alex Hesz as the new CSO for Dentsu International. This comes after Dentsu named Mike Law to succeed Angela Steele as CEO of Dentsu Carat U.S.

The hiring of Hesz adds strategic leadership across the business in the agency’s hopes to be the most integrated agency network, according to a statement.

Hesz will partner with global CEO Wendy Clark and the Dentsu International executive team to shape and define the strategy, priorities and long-term direction of Dentsu International. He will officially join Dentsu in 2022.

He is one of the foremost strategic leaders in the industry,” said Clark in a statement. “On our journey to optimising from 160 to six global leadership brands, this role is critical to integrate our total offering across media, CXM and creative, delivering growth and creativity for clients at the speed and efficiency demanded by the marketplace.”

Hesz had been global CSO at DDB since June 2020 and group CSO of adam&eveDDB. His clients included Google, Samsung, Unilever, Mars, Lloyds Banking Group, BlackRock and Meta.
