DDB Chicago Wins Bread Brands Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat

By Kyle O'Brien

DDB Chicago has been named strategic business and creative agency of record for bread brands Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat, owned by Bimbo Bakeries USA, following a competitive pitch.

A category leader, Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat has tasked DDB Chicago with solidifying its position in the modern market by bringing in new audiences and driving cultural relevance with unexpected creative solutions. The bread brand is known by three different names around the U.S. It’s Arnold on the East Coast, Oroweat on the West Coast and Brownberry in the Midwest, though all feature the same label and products.

“It is wonderful to see positive results of our hard work and incredibly talented people. So many of us have Arnold, Brownberry and Oroweat in our own homes and we are excited about all the creative possibilities and ways we can partner together to elevate the brand’s leadership status,” said DDB Chicago CEO Andrea Diquez in a statement.

“We can’t wait to embark on a partnership with DDB Chicago. The team proved their strengthened capabilities and then some. The team is looking forward to the unexpected possibilities,” added Jessica Grane, marketing director, premium brands at Bimbo Bakeries USA in a statement.

This is the third win for DDB Chicago this year, on the heels of adding new clients Orkin and Reynolds Consumer Products. The Bimbo brands are the latest to join DDB Chicago’s roster of household brands, including Molson Coors, McDonald’s, Mars and State Farm, among others.
