While we’ve been told that our tipsters’ cries of a “bloodbath” at DDB Chicago (sound familiar?) are somewhat exaggerated, sources in the know have confirmed that the agency let go of 15-20 staffers “across the board” yesterday. Besides the usual “restructuring” reason, the cuts were also due to DDB losing a sizable piece of the State Farm business to Draftfcb–though the former is still the AOR for the brand.
