Dan LaCivita Promoted to President at Firstborn

By Kiran Aditham

During Firstborn’s annual Brooklyn bacchanalia last week, word spread that Dan LaCivita was promoted to president. Today, the digital shop has made it official, as the seven-year FB vet will be taking on the new role, which according to the announce, “yields openings” for new posts within the company that pertain to account management and client creative strategy, and gives founder/CEO Michael Ferdman “more collaboration and support at the C-level.”

In a statement regarding LaCivita, who began his Firstborn career as a Flash developer in 2003, Ferdman says, “[Dan’s] ongoing recognition from clients and throughout the industry demonstrates his knowledge and understanding of the current digital landscape, and where it is headed. His strategic thinking and the ease with which he solves problems make him a natural leader in conceptual ideation. And the respect and admiration both I and the employees of Firstborn have for Dan make him a natural choice for this role.”
