Dan Fletcher Out at Agency 720

By Kiran Aditham

We received a note from a spy over the weekend letting us know that Dan Fletcher, who last December was announced as CEO of Omnicom-owned, Chevy tier two dealer partner Agency 720, has left the agency after just five months to “pursue other opportunities within Omnicom.” A quick phone call to the Troy, MI-based shop has confirmed that Fletcher is no longer there.

If you remember, Agency 720 was launched earlier this year and took over as Chevy’s tier two dealer agency after GM shifted the business away from Campbell-Ewald unit Velocity Marketing, which Fletcher happened to be president of and where he spent eight years at prior to taking over as 720’s CEO.

Word from the Spy line is that Fletcher’s successor is Harold Kobakof, an Omnicom vet who’s served as president of Retail 3 for nearly 18 months and spent 13 years prior at BBDO, where he was chief retail officer. We’re still awaiting confirmation on this and perhaps a memo confirming the leadership transition at Agency 720. Stay tuned…
