Before Matthew Wiener introduced us to Don Draper and those mad men at Sterling Cooper, copywriter Matt Beaumont gave us a fictional peek inside agency life ten years ago with ‘e’, which focused on Miller Shanks and a barrage of email communication between staffers.
Though he rejoined the advertising industry last year as a CD at M&C Saatchi, Beaumont has nevertheless found the time to indulge his other creative side with ‘e Squared’, which now turns the page and reveals the IM, text and blog interaction at agency Meerkat 360. According to Brand Republic, the book will “mercilessly lampoon the pretensions of adland”. Still, isn’t the real adland sometimes amusing enough?
