Cutwater Explores ‘Sounds of Solar’ for Sunrun

By Erik Oster

San Francisco agency Cutwater has a new spot for Sunrun, the largest solar panel leaser in the US.

The fun, 30-second spot sees a man’s appliances coming to life in the morning, Toy Story-style, to create a rendition of Katrina and the Waves’ “Walking on Sunshine” (they really couldn’t have chosen a more appropriate musical selection). All of the appliances shut off when they see the man approaching, only to resume once he passes by, followed by the line, “Solar lets everything run on the sun.” It’s a simple, fun take on Sunrun and their “Brilliant” tagline, showing the brand’s solar power functionality in a fun way.
