Independent full-service media agency Crossmedia hired Michael Farasciano in the new role of head of growth.

Farasciano will be tasked with growing new business and broadening relationships with existing clients, reporting to Crossmedia co-founder and CEO Kamran Asghar.

“It’s a wide-ranging definition that includes prospecting, sharing and amplifying our story and analyzing how we go to market,” Farasciano said in a statement. “There are so many factors that can impact our growth, and the opportunities for us in today’s rapidly-evolving marketplace are limitless.”

“I joined because I want to be re-inspired and I believe in fostering a culture where people are constantly curious, bring passion to work every day, are focused on big ideas that are rooted in data and insight and have an attitude that nothing is impossible,” he added. “Crossmedia is the epitome of what it means to be a challenger, and what Martin and Kamran have built here is based on those kinds of principles.”

Farasciano arrives at Crossmedia from Initiative, where he served as chief client advice and management officer. Prior to joining Initiative in June of 2017, he spent over a year and a half as executive director, global agency development for Time. Before that he spent a little over two and a half years with MediaCom as managing parter, working with clients including Subway, Audi, American Eagle Outfitters, Citizens Bank, AARP, Lindt, Ghirardelli and Dave & Busters. He previously served in account director and client services director roles for Carat and Vizeum.

“Mike’s 20-plus years in the industry have provided him with the skill set required to seamlessly and successfully work in a leadership role in both complex and simple organizational structures,” Asghar said in a statement. “Mike is our Han Solo. He’s seen everything, he’s super inventive and he’ll try anything to get a job done. And he’s always trying to improve his time on the Kessel Run… Google it. He’s going to be tremendous asset to Crossmedia in terms of expanding our brand, our reach and our reputation as a leading independent media agency.”
