CP+B Takes Over Canada

By Kiran Aditham

Eleven-year-old, Toronto-based agency Zig can count itself as the latest MDC acquisition as the agency has been re-branded as CP+B Canada. With the M&A, Zig, whose clients include IKEA, Best Buy and Molson, will now put its Chicago office out to pasture, place Shelley Brown in charge of CP+B Canada and Aaron Starkman as executive creative director.

In a statement to Marketing Mag, Zig co-founder/chairman Andy Macaulay says, “I think our values and beliefs are very similar,” also noting that the agencies even package themselves similarly: Zig’s brand positioning is “Ideas in their most powerful form,” while Crispin calls itself an “idea factory.”
