CP+B L.A. CD Departs to Pursue Directorial Career

By Erik Oster

This week we learned that CP+B L.A. VP/creative director and Australian expat Cameron Harris has left the agency to pursue a career as a director. Yesterday was his last day with Crispin, and he Instagrammed/ tweeted a goodbye to 15 years of agency life.

Harris originally arrived at CP+B in January of 2012 after spending two years as a creative director with Leo Burnett Sydney. He began his career in advertising as a creative with Saatchi & Saatchi after graduating from the Auckland University of Technology. Five years later, he left the agency for a senior creative position with Clemenger BBDO, where he spent more than two and a half years.

While at Crispin, Harris worked on Old Navy and NBA2K among other accounts.

This week, CP+B confirmed that Harris would be leaving but declined to comment further. We do hear that the parting was on good terms and that the reason for the move was exactly as you read it: the ECD wanted to branch out and move into a directorial role.

Harris has not specified what these plans may entail.
