CP+B Boulder, Infiniti Want You to Start a ‘New Tradition’ This Year

CP+B Boulder and Infiniti explore the growing trend of families opting for living Christmas trees in a new spot celebrating the holidays and Infiniti’s partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation.

A 30-second holiday broadcast ad shows a family driving past all the discarded trees on the sidewalk in their neighborhood, with their own tree strapped to the hood. In the back seat, a girl holds a plain white ornament. The family then arrive at a clearing in the woods and plant the tree (which should be way harder than it looks, given the snow and undoubtedly rock-solid soil), adorning it with the single ornament.

The spot ends with text reading “Start a #NewTradition” and the tagline, “Empower the Drive” but one element of the spot can be find at Infiniti dealerships.

Every visitor to an Infiniti dealership through December 31 will receive an ornament like the one in the spot, representing one of the 35,000 trees planted by the company on behalf of its drivers as part of its partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation. A hang tag on the ornaments directs customers to a website where they can register their own tree and learn more about The Arbor Day Foundation.
