Chris Pratt apparently loves to be outdoors, but not without his devices. That’s why the Guardians of the Galaxy star is promoting a green energy solar generator from Jackery.
Jackery, an outdoor solar generator brand, has teamed up with Pratt for the launch of its most advanced green energy product yet, the Jackery Solar Generator 2000 Pro. The 2000 is capable of receiving a full charge to 2,160 watt-hours in just 2.5 hours of sunlight, letting campers spend unlimited time outdoors without losing charges on their phones—and other assorted electronics that make camping more like glamping.
Pratt uses his charm to tell potential consumers about the ways that the Jackery 2000 Pro helps keep things charged without utilizing fossil fuels—and not scaring wildlife with loud engine noises.
In the hero spot, “Living Life to the Outdoorsiest,” Pratt walks viewers through his many favorite use cases for Jackery, ranging from charging his cell phone, to the not so practical of destroying bubbles with a toy drone and charging a full entertainment system in the woods.
The brand is a top-selling solar generator brand on Amazon but has low brand awareness, so it turned to agency Edelman and its partners at United Entertainment Group (UEG) for a personality-driven campaign—and outdoor enthusiast Pratt was keen to come on board.
“I’ve always loved to camp. I’m a total gear head when it comes to outdoor equipment. I’d never promote something I wouldn’t use myself. The Jackery solar generator provides unlimited renewable energy. It’s an absolute game changer,” said Pratt in a statement.
The campaign officially launched on Pratt’s Instagram and will run on social channels.
