Chicago Gives Some Love to Howard Draft

By Kiran Aditham

George Parker’s best friend Howard Draft (giving us his best Blue Steel look to your right), executive chairman of Draftfcb, is being handed the Silver Medal Lifetime Achievement Award by the Chicago Advertising Federation.

The award is given to a “distinguished member of the Chicago advertising community for his/her contributions to the local ad scene as well as for his/her personal accomplishments.” CAF’s 24-member board was behind the selection of Draft, who says in a statement, “I share it with the thousands of agency colleagues I have worked with over the years; my success is due to their success.” Those of you Chicagoans who want to sing Draft’s praises and have some cash to spare can fork over $155 to dine with the puppy-loving agency exec at the Silver Medal Awards Dinner on Nov. 11.
