Chemistry Concocts a Card Collection That Connects WFH Chaos

By Doug Zanger

Working parents in quarantine have “enjoyed” the challenge of navigating a job and kids trying to get schoolwork done. By this time in the process, though, we’re all pretty much fried … and continue to share the myriad failures of working from home.

Atlanta agency Chemistry kept the designers busy with a series of greeting cards for working parents in an attempt to inject a little levity and reality into this … OK, we’re done calling it “unprecedented time.” It’s a shitshow.

Anyhoo, while these types of whimsical endeavors are often to keep creative chops sharpened, the Cards of Commiseration collection is also a fundraiser for Feeding America.

The 15 cards in the series are meditations on kids’ bodily functions, the realities of sitting in front of endless Zoom meetings, and the expected failures of parenting and homeschooling in quarantine.

The stories were sourced from working parents of the agency, and Chemistry is asking for more content from anyone … that could end up on another card.
