Cheil, Samsung Want to Know What You ‘#RideFor’

Cheil Worldwide launched a spot for Samsung, targeting bicyclists while promoting the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge’s S Health app.

The spot, entitled “#RideFor,” opens on a professional cyclist, with the message “#RideFor the team.” From there the ad highlights all sorts of reasons people get on their bikes, from health to self expression and street cred over footage of cyclists in different scenarios, including using the S Health app to track their progress. It ends with a call for viewers to “Share What You #RideFor,” as the social extension is clearly an important part of the campaign. If you have any cycling-enthusiast friends, you know that they are often more than eager to share their love of the sport, so the hashtag should get its share of love. Whether or not that translates into increased Samsung Galaxy sales is another matter, but S Health should at least prove enticing to cycling enthusiasts.
