Cheil Names Brad Brinegar North American CEO

Brad Brinegar, chairman and CEO of McKinney, was tasked with the added responsibility of North American CEO by McKinney parent company Cheil, AdAge reports.

In the newly-created role, Brinegar will be responsible for driving growth in the region while supporting Cheil agencies Iris Worldwide, The Barbarian Group and McKinney. Brinegar will also continue in his current role at McKinney, which he has held since February of 2002, following over two decades at Leo Burnett.

The appointment is the latest in a list of recent moves by Cheil, including the appointment of Catherine Davis as chief growth officer for the U.K. and Europe in May, the appointment of Cheil UK president global chief growth officer Lotta Malm-Hallqvist in January and naming Cheil Greater China CEO and president Aaron Lau to the additional role of president, international.

“Cheil has assembled a unique network of modern agencies in the U.S. market,” said Brinegar, in a statement. “My new job is to help the leaders of all three agencies to efficiently partner and build out our offering in the U.S.”
