CCO Anthony Yell Leaves MRM//McCann, Returns to SapientNitro

By Patrick Coffee

Three summers ago, the agency then called MRM signed SapientNitro veteran Anthony Yell as its newest ECD in New York.

Today we learned that Yell, who was promoted to CCO last May when MRM added the “//McCann,” has left the job to return to his previous employer in a top creative position.

Yell, who started his career as a designer, spent nearly 13 years with the Sapient organization, rising from CD to ECD/VP and managing the creative teams in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and Toronto. While there, he created work for such clients as Adobe, Sony and Bare Escentuals.

Contrary to tipsters’ claims, MRM EVP and director of strategy Ariana Stolarz has not left the agency along with the CCO. She is, however, moving from New York to the U.K., where sources tell us she will remain an MRM employee more actively involved in “corporate issues.”

We’re waiting for more details regarding Yell’s new position at Sapient, and we hear that MRM//McCann is close to signing a contract with his replacement at this time.

Most importantly, Yell is now a nominee for our unofficial Headshot of the Year contest thanks to the masterpiece above.
