Leo Burnett Chicago appointed Catherine Davis as executive vice president, account director. In the position, she will be tasked with overseeing the agency’s McDonald’s account in the U.S., reporting directly to Leo Burnett North America CEO Rich Stoddart.
Davis arrives at Leo Burnett Chicago from Vizeum, where she has served as U.S. president since the media agency’s launch in 2011. While with Vizeum she oversaw accounts for clients including Discover Card, Calvin Klein, The Dow Jones, Reckitt-Benckiser, Sonos and Fat Tire Beer. Prior to joining Vizeum, Davis founded and served as president for marketing strategy consulting firm Think First Consulting, working with clients including Pernod Ricard and The Weather Channel during the consultancy’s year and a half run. Prior to founding Think First Consulting, she served a three-year stint as senior vice president, marketing services for Diageo. She also spent several years at Morgan Stanley, in roles including vice president, advertising and brand management; senior vice president, advertising and brand management, individual investor group; and senior vice president, of global advertising and brand management. Davis first joined Morgan Stanley in 1998, following nine years with Leo Burnett Chicago. She began her initial stint with the agency as an account executive, rising to the role of vice president, account director by the time of her departure, working with brands including Allstate, Pillsbury, Green Giant and Amoco. Last year, Davis was named to both Adweek’s list of “The 2014 Media All-Stars” and Forbes’ “100 Must-Follow Marketing Minds on Twitter.”
