Carlos Mendelbaum: Top Brands Owe Us $784,642.86, Each

Following the idea that consumers “own” their favorite brands, Carlos Mendelbaum calculates that the $2.17 trillion valuation of the “top brands” divided by the 2.8 million friends of Coca-Cola (a “top brand”) on Facebook means we’re all owed $784,642.86 &#151 you know, because we own the brands.

Somehow, we’re not holding our breath for our payout, but the Mendelbaum’s explanation might make you think &#151 at least about cracking open a delicious, refreshing ice cold Coca-cola.
