Cadbury Cad-apult Buries the Globe in Goo

By Bob Marshall

With the season of Lent upon us and Easter just around the corner, it’s time to start devouring those tasty, chocolate on the outside and mystery cream in the center Cadbury eggs.

To celebrate the season of rebirth and candy, Cadbury and Canadian agency Taxi 2 are rolling out their “Return of the Goo” website, featuring the Cadbury Creme Cad-apult. Powered by the technology of Google maps, users can launch a giant Cadbury egg from the mountainous, rabbit-populated outer reaches of Canada to whatever location they choose. The only challenge with the Cad-apult is battling some long buffering times and a bit of lag to use the device accurately. I goo-ed myself, and was quite disappointed when my desk wasn’t suddenly drenched in Cadbury creme. I was at least hoping for a Cadbury employee in bunny ears to throw an egg at me form point-blank range. Oh well, there’s always next Easter. I then egged the mediabistro offices for fun. The end result after the jump.
