Bruce Henderson Takes CCO Post at G2

By Kiran Aditham

Well, our sources were somewhat right in saying that Bruce Henderson was leaving Ogilvy for a “top direct marketing agency.” But as we previously hinted, G2 has appointed the OgilvyOne alum as chief creative officer of its North American operations. G2 says that this is the first time that the WPP agency’s hired a CCO to lead creative across all of its practices, including Branding & Design, Digital/Interactive Marketing, Experiential, Marketing, Shopper/Promotional Marketing and Relationship Marketing.

During his eight-year tenure at Ogilvy, Henderson moved up from digital copywriter to GCD/senior partner and worked on accounts including Siemens, TD Ameritrade, Six Flags (“More Flags, More Fun”), Dove, Perrier, IBM, SAP and DuPont. On the side, Henderson fancies himself a non-fiction writer, musician and TV programmer.
