Brandweek Reveals 2009 Marketer of the Year Winners

Brandweek has given us a peek at the list of recipients of their 2009 Marketer of the Year Awards, which will officially be announced to the public on Monday. While the actual Grand Marketer of the Year prize is being kept under wraps until the announcement, a few notable names that stick out from the winners’ circle are:

-Nancy Kirkpatrick, President, Worldwide Marketing, Summit Entertainment: Screaming teen girls owe her a debt of gratitude for helping bring the Twilight films to the masses.

-David Plouffe, Former Campaign Manager for Barack Obama: A key player in the president’s online and mobile campaign leading up to the ’08 election.

-Courteney Monroe, EVP of Consumer Marketing, HBO: True Blood. ‘Nuff said.

-Jeff Bezos, CEO, Amazon.com: Kindle’s blooming and Zappos.com is now in their possession. Boo-yah.

-Mickey Drexler, Chairman/CEO, J. Crew: Actually, Michelle Obama perhaps deserves a little co-credit for plugging this clothing brand and boosting its exposure.
