BP CEO Apologizes for Destroying the Gulf

By Kiran Aditham

Now that we’ve hit the 45-day mark of the BP oil spill, company CEO Tony Hayward is now in damage control mode and after an apology on BP’s Facebook page earlier this week for saying he “would like his life back,” Hayward’s now released this video where he busts out his benevolent side and expresses how truly sorry he is.

But with nearly 22 million gallons of oil leaked as of this morning, live feeds of the spill accessible all over the web and people mocking his company left and right, Hayward’s PR maneuver is like putting a band-aid on a bullet hole–especially for a company that had already received 760 OSHA fines prior to this disaster.
