This video has been bopping around the Webs, probably because it’s one of the first time Augmented Reality has been demonstrated in a way that has nothing to do with marketing. Except that the way BMW is using their AR idea as marketing. No matter, it’s a cool idea: AR interacts with your BMW’s engine, allowing your over-priced mechanic to be lazier than his compatriots at GM who are stuck looking at an owner’s manual.
We’re pretty sure this is just a mock-video.
We contacted GSD&M to see if this is their handy work but they did not immediately respond.
Update: This is old, as in before GSD&M old. Oops. Whatever it’s still cool, and is the handiwork of Dare Digital.
