Big Spaceship Rounds Out Executive Leadership Team

Brooklyn-based independent agency Big Spaceship added two new leadership positions to its team with the arrivals of Arthur Fullerton as chief technology officer and Mary Lou Bunn as senior vice president, marketing. The appointments around out an executive leadership team which founder/CEO Michael Lebowitz and president Rob Thorsen have been constructing for around 18 months. Both Fullerton and Bunn will report to Thorsen.

“Arthur and Mary Lou are arriving at an exciting moment for Big Spaceship,” Thorsen said in a statement. “We’re launching great work, our client roster is strong, and our particular approach and philosophy to modern communications is resonating at a new level. As we move into 2017, they are a big part of our plans, and culturally they fit who we are as a group to a T.”

Fullerton arrives at Big Spaceship from Lowe Profero, where he has served as head of technology, Americas since April of 2015, following nine months as partner and senior vice president, technology at New York digital agnecy Rumble Fox. Prior to Rumble Fox he spent over two and a half years as vice president, technology and production at New York social media agency Attention. That followed nearly two years at CP+B Canada as director of technology, and stints in the same position at FUSE Marketing Group and zig Ideas before that.
Mary Lou Bunn
Bunn arrives at the agency from New York-based agency Lloyd&Co., where she has spent the past year as head of business strategy. Prior to Lloyd&Co. she spent two years as director, business development for Brooklyn digital agency Huge. That followed a year as director, business development and marketing at ESI Design and three as director, communications at New York architecture firm Richard Meier & Partners before that.

“Technology has always been a foundational part of our business,” Lebowitz said. “Bringing in Arthur pushes forward the continuum of innovation and development practices we offer our clients in a big way. At the same time, we’ve been lucky enough to diversify our opportunities, current clients and partnerships significantly over the last year. Mary Lou will be working with us to tell our story and fine-tune our discipline in strategizing with potential partners.”

In addition to Fullerton and Bunn, Big Spaceship also recently added the following hires: Heather Harrigan as vice president of user experience, Steve Street as group director of copy, Tom Hyde as director of content and Genevieve Roble as director of talent and culture.
