Big Spaceship Promotes Rocker Types to New Posts

They might look like they’re in a Godsmack tribute band (*shiver*) but Rob Watts (left), Stephen Koch (right) and Charlie Whitney have actually earned their stripes at Big Spaceship, enough so that the Brooklyn-based digital shop has promoted them to director of production and senior developers, respectively.

To be fair though, two out of the three–Watts and Koch–have music industry backgrounds with the former (who bears a striking resemblance to Motorhead’s Lemmy) playing bass and having worked at Rykodisc Records and the latter toiling in the New York music scene. Watts is a four-year Big Spaceship vet while Koch has spent the last three at the shop as a developer.

Meanwhile, Whitney joined Big Spaceship in 2008 after working as a Flash designer at Hello Monday in Denmark.
