BFG 9000 Poaches Creative Director From W+K Tokyo

Barton F. Graf 9000 appointed Matt Moore as creative director, serving on the agency’s Little Caesar’s account while also working on new business as well. He will report to executive creative directors Scott Vitrone and Ian Reichenthal

Moore arrives at the agency from W+K Tokyo, where he served as an art director on Booking.com and other accounts (he was also one of the creatives behind the odd SchadenFreezers project). He graduated from The Creative Circus in 2009 after earning a B.A. from Xavier University and joined W+K Portland later that year.

“Matt’s ideas are beautifully subversive but he thinks differently than Scott, Ian, and myself,” said chief creative officer/founder Gerry Graf. “He has a great eye as an art director. Having him here will make us a better agency.”

“The decision to join Barton was based on the fact that I’ve wanted to work with Gerry, Scott and Ian ever since I was in school,” added Moore. “It was also important to me to work for an independent agency that is able to make decisions based entirely on creative opportunity.”
